The next few days were torture for Sam. School was so dull, boring and long she thought at first she would enter a comatose state, the only thing that made her day go by fast was the memories of her birthday. Each time she would think of that day her heart fluttered, she became light headed and every time she felt a warm breeze she kept envisioning Jake's hand enveloping her. So warm, so safe....she missed him.
However there was something in the back of her mind, the conversation between her mom and Jake. She had to find out what was going on and tonight was the night. Around 8:00 that night she was at the dining table doing her homework while her mother was cleaning up after supper.
