BIG Beans 6.1) Stopping Mitch

Sticking to the trees we hurried towards the playground and we were quickly pulling ahead of Mitch. It helped that the lumbering giant was just plodding along. If he broke out into a sprint we’d easily lose him. Ducking out from the trees we split up as planned, while I headed behind the playground, using the various obstacles and play sets as cover to lie in ambush, Kynan ran out in front to get Mitch’s attention. “Hey fatso you going to come in like a wrecking ball?” Kynan yelled out to Mitch, which immediately got his attention. The giant’s head snapped downwards his eyes burning with menace.

Raising a car sized foot, Mitch tried to slam it down on Kynan but he was too quick and he darted into a nearby fort. Sand blasted against my exposed skin as the stomp sent a shockwave out, but I was relieved to see Kynan was alright, though he was struggling to make his way through the small tubes connecting several forts. Getting down on his hands and knees Mitch inspected the playground. I stayed still where I was hidden, but movement in one fort caught Mitch’s attention and he swiped at it, obliterating it. There was a high pitch, screaming meow as a cat was launched out of the playground and into the trees somewhere. I felt a bit sorry for the poor cat but I was glad it hadn’t been Kynan. Mitch grunted in annoyed frustration that he had missed his target and that the chain link bridge that had joined one part of the fort to another was tangled around his hand. Twisting and pulling, Mitch worked on freeing his hand. The chains were breaking but it was clearly time consuming and looking behind me I stared at the massive dome of metal chains. It was like a giant metal cob web and it gave me an idea on how to deal with Mitch.
