Uriel spent the last 1,000 years trying to avoid her own male brethren, seeing them as lovesick and pubescent. With the exceptions of Michael and Gabriel(which both have mates in the form of Faith and Hope), she had spent time in a place where no one dared to follow the Heavenly Gardens. Her closest friends being female archangels, Jophiel and Charity. They could understand the notation that Uriel is going through, being the few female archangels being lusted on by their own. One such archangel has been waiting long time for her to be his mate, even though he had one of his own in Mother Mary: Raphael. Though he appears to be virtuous, Raphael is anything but within himself. He was chauvinistic, shrewd and extremely vain who believed the best male archangel should have the best female archangel as his mate. This fatal character flaws is what made Uriel very uncomfortable around Raphael, but did her best to tolerate him. However, this latest conversation made with Michael, Gabriel and him made her leave for Earth.
