The sorcerer stood at the alter with his offering. The slaughtered animals and precious jewels were piled high. The tall, sinister man uttered his incantation. Calling on a god was fraught with peril. If angered, a giant fist could pummel him into dust, though not for long. The sorcerer was not immortal, but very durable.
He needed weaponry to defeat his enemies and what better god than Aries, the god of war. He knew if any god understood the need to defeat his enemies, it was Aries. The sorcerer finished the incantation and watched the altar glow with magic and in a flash of lightning, the giant god appeared.
