James woke up to the darkness of his house. His throat and his muscles sore from yelling and trying to move the glass. His skin moist and pungent with the urine his ex-friend and left him to marinate in. The glass he was trapped under caused the smelly golden liquid to condense and stay humid. James just prayed that the seal wasn't so tight that he would run out of oxygen inside his glass prison.
He sat up and stretched and sat with his back against the glass. He looked around the room. His house was so peaceful at night. The way the moonlight came in through the windows, the outside light shining through the open door...
"Wait a sec..." James stared toward the kitchen. "Why the hell is the door open?"
"Maybe because I opened it." James slowly turned around at the sound of the familiar voice. Towering over him stood his neighbor Sean.
