Johnny and the Titans went over the plan one more time. “Make sense?” Everyone nodded in agreement. “And we’re agreed? We keep going no matter what?”

“Deal.” Doug responded. “I doubt we’ll all make it out of this, but we have to at least try. Better to die in Oliver’s stomach a rebel than a coward.”

“Agreed.” Johnny laughed, trying to find some light spin on this. “You’re okay with your part in this, baby?” Johnny whispered down to Jake clutched tight in his hand.

“Yeah. Yeah, let’s just do this.”

Johnny turned toward the cracks by the door and made his way though to the rest of the city.
