It was a Friday afternoon, and Josh was at Nathan's place for the weekend. Walking into his colossal boyfriend's massive bedroom, and not seeing Nathan, he gave a long sigh as he turned back, heading out into the hallway. Hed been looking for Nathan for almost 5 minutes, unable to get his attention. On the surface, considering his boyfriend was blind, and he had 20/20 vision, this whole situation may have seemed ironic, comical even. However, for Josh, it was a real issue he had to face. Nathan's house was relatively large, even for a man of his stature, and while he could usually hear Josh down on the floor, he was often preoccupied by texts, listening to the radio, etc., just like the rest of the modern, always connected world. On this particular day, Nathan was busy waiting for a call to see if his meeting with the local chapter of the Association of Blind Giant Individuals (ABGI), was still on. They met once a month, and with the meeting downtown, a good distance from the suburb in which he lived, he often got a ride with one of his sighted friends.
