[ Previous Chapter: ] The doorway to my right seemed as tall as a skyscraper, as did the rest of the furniture in Tanner's room. It was then that I realized the harrowing truth of the situation: I had shrunk. And the thunderous footsteps growing louder and louder only meant one thing: Tanner was home.

Just as I had fallen to the floor, I was struck with a horrifying image. It came and went in a flash, but I knew that the image was going to be ingrained in my mind forever. It was dark and strained, bleeding of nothing but pure tension. It made me sick in the stomach to even think about it. I didn't know what it was or whether it even happened, but I knew it was a premonition nonetheless. I saw shadows, and hidden in the darkness I could make out a face, but just as I was about to identify it, it was gone.
