After the last page of text, there was a final illustration. It was from a low perspective, gazing up at the giant. Most of the page's space was taken up the giant's colossal belly, but just over the far curve, you should see a hint of the giant's face, barely visible atop such a magnificent gut. Magnificent. That was the only word for it that Kevin could come up with. He traced the circumference of the large circle with a finger and felt a sudden, immense emptiness now that the curtain had closed on the giant's tale.
He had wanted to follow the giant's exploits further. Emerging from the water like Godzilla on the coast of the next kingdom. Eating his way across the land, no longer with any destination in mind. Just bigger. And bigger he would get. At some point, Kevin figured the giant's belly would grow too massive to carry, and the giant would sit down on a butt that could crush an entire nation beneath it. He would reach for anything to eat, the earth itself if need be, much as he did when devouring his home town. As as he ate, he would grow. His butt would grow fatter beneath him, and his belly would roll out across the land. Eventually plains and mountains and oceans... everything... would become part of the giant. Too big to move, and yet still hungry. Never full, and never satisfied.
