"... which is why Rabelais' work is now considered extremely racist, although in some circles there have been movements to reclaim it. Are there any questions?"
The professor turned and looked at the class, adjusting the headset he and all the other regular-sized faculty wore to broadcast their opinions all the way to the eager ears of their "unconventionally statured" students. Todd wasn't paying attention. To an outside observer it would look like he was making a slow spiral on his notepaper, extending the pattern in lazily scribed loop-de-loops, the picture of disengaged contentment. In reality he was anything but peacefully waiting for the class to end. In fact, if he'd been able to think of any questions to ask he would have asked them, just to postpone the inevitable dismissal.

There was a general hubbub of shuffling and shifting as the students, most of whom were giants, collected their things. Todd tried to keep his head down and gather his stuff together as unassumingly as possible. He winced when a voice, filtered through the space-age technology of his earpieces to sound almost normal, addressed him suddenly. "Hey man, want a lift back to your dorm?"
