I lay in Alec's arms, curled up on the sofa. We'd spent the whole night talking, but i must have drifted off. The house was cold, but his body radiated heat. He held me protectively, absent mindedly rubbing the side of his cheek against my hair. He kissed the back of my neck, and squeezed me.
"Morning", I murmered.
"Morning" he replied. He arched his back and stretchd out his arms behind him, rolling me off the sofa onto the floor.
My head hit the floor, and I stared up dazed as Alec peered over the edge of the sofa. "Oops, Sorry buddy." He leaned down and planted a kiss on my lips, before leaping up, throwing on a Tshirt and wandering towards to the kitchen.
I pulled myself up, and followed him through the house. He was half buried in the fridge.
"What are you doing?"
"Looking for breakfast" He poked his head out, grinned at me, and dove back in again. I poured some cereal into a bowl, drenched it in milk, pulled a chair out and sat down to eat. Alec sat down opposite me with half a chicken carcass. He tore at it with his teeth.
"I was saving that for sandwiches later".
He looked up, his mouth full, embarrassed.
