Matt had always been different from the others. As a kid growing up in a sleepy little seaside town in Essex, he'd been a bit of a loner; granted, he'd had a group of friends and a amazing family, but he loved his time alone with his own thoughts.
When his mum and dad split up, Matt had been eleven years old, and he took it hard; thinking it was was his fault, that he'd done something wrong, and not unlike his siblings, his resentment towards his father built up over the following years.
It was, however, the day that Matt collected his exam results and left high school, that his life changed forever.
As he was waiting by the beach, to meet up with his friends after collecting his results, leaning against the wall,he saw him. His father. A man that Matt had not seen in five years. And the teenage boy clenched his fists and has to restrain himself from running over and punching him in the jaw.
