BANGBANGBANG
After knocking a few more times, Lance tried the knob to the front door and it turned. It wasn't like Evan to leave his house unlocked while everyone was out, so he was certain his cousin was at home and just not answering the door for some reason. Was that slacker still in the shower? Lance had told him to be ready on time, so if that was the case, he'd get really annoyed. More annoyed, that is.
Annoying was probably the mildest way to describe Lance's relationship with his cousin Evan. Being the same age and living in the same neighborhood, they had been forced to spend time together while growing up. This was definitely a better deal for Evana socially-awkward guy who didn't seem to know how to make friendsthan it was for Lance, who was one of the most popular kids around. It didn't help that in high school Lance went the way of the star jock and school leader while Evan was quite frankly a scrawny little geek. Physically they were so different that anyone just meeting them wouldn't guess they were related: the black-haired, blue-eyed Lance had sprouted to 6' 4 tall and possessed a muscular athlete's frame; blond-haired, green-eyed Evan barely stood at 5' 8, was rather skinny and had all the athletic ability of a turnip.
