The New Ranch Hand Part II
By Zac (kwirtee)
I saw Aaron as I drove to down the driveway the next morning. He was at work repairing a portion of the split rail fencing. He was wearing a black t-shirt that hugged his muscular body. He waved at me, and I waved back. I couldn't take my mind off of him the entire drive to school.
School was normal. I went to class. Someone tried to put me inside my locker. They actually succeeded this time, but this had become a regular enough occurrence that I had taken the effort to install a latch so that it only truly closed and locked if you did it in a very specific way. When the offender and his buddies had left, congratulating each other on their ingenuity, I opened the locker, jumped out, and went to class. It was just another day.
When I came back in the afternoon, I didn't see Aaron. The afternoon sun was hot, and I was baking inside my air-conditionless truck.
